Project Development

IGB helps defence forces transferring concepts and ideas into actual project. Through its project development service package, IGB builds comprehensive project plans that are aimed at ensuring that a given project delivers tangible benefits to target end-user groups in a reasonable timeframe.

IGB will help its clients in evaluating the impacts of past projects, and incorporating lessons learned into development of new projects.

IGB offers an effective development process for projects that is divided into the following key stages:

  1. Idea generation to capture new ideas.
  2. Idea distillation to screen out those ideas not worth taking forward.
  3. Concept definition to consider specifications such as technical and commercial feasibility.
  4. Strategic analysis to ensure the project idea fit into the client’s business' strategic plans.
  5. Concept development to create a pilot project (if deemed necessary).
  6. Finalising the concept in a way to ensure that the project is modified according to the client organisations' feedback.

This means deciding the best timing and process for piloting the new project.

Design Services

IGB offers the following:

Developing Statement of Requirement

IGB will perform the following:

  1. Identify, document and prioritise requirements.
  2. Validate requirements if they exist.
  3. Include competitive (off-the-shelf) review. This includes both mandatory and optional requirements.
  4. Confirm the understanding of all concerned parties.

This stage focuses almost exclusively on the client side of the equation and will be followed by a joint review stage after which IGB will adjust the requirements in light of the review outcome.

Detailed Design

IGB will translate the final statement of work into a conceptual design. Alternate approaches including off-the-shelf ones will be also presented in this stage.

This will be mutually reviewed and the final outcome will be presented to client. Following approval, the final design is issued and presented to the client.

Detailed Project Plan

IGB will develop a detailed plan that comprises the development methodology, needed resources, costing, special services and milestones.

This will be mutually reviewed and the final outcome will be presented to client. This may be followed by further comments, corrections and feedback which will be all incorporated into the plan. Then the final project plan is issued and presented to the client.

Procurement and Contract Support

Maintaining this close monitoring of project implementation ensures that the main aspects of successful project implementation are maintained within planned limits, this covers:

  1. Quality assurance and control
  2. Project cost monitoring and update
  3. Time schedule monitoring and update

During this stage IGB will provide progress reports in line with international project management standards. The reporting will secure that project progress is well communicated with the client and necessary decisions are taken at the right time.

In addition to the reporting, periodical project meetings will be conducted to ensure that all parties involved are communicating in a healthy manner.

Training

IGB will provide professional training packages tailored to the specific needs of the clients. The training will range from concepts introductions to detailed technical training programs.
